David Edward Simmons III is currently a producer and the Co-Owner/ Chief Financial Officer for Darkstone Entertainment LLC. In his role as a producer, David has been involved throughout all phases of the filmmaking process from development to completion on several short and feature-length productions. A big believer in Independent Film, David also supports and has also helmed several projects in the Virginia Film Festival’s Adrenaline Film Project and the 48 Hour Film Project.

David is no stranger to the film and television industry, having spent five years with the aforementioned Darkstone Entertainment LLC and one year with, NBC Affiliate, WVIR-TV as a Broadcast Coordinator. Both of these jobs in the industry have imparted him with excellent time management skills and project coordination abilities. Most importantly, his six years of experience in the entertainment industry has made him excel in the areas of detailed budgeting, thorough planning and adept execution of projects on both digital and film mediums.

Prior to and concurrent with his work in the entertainment business, David has also spent two years as a personal and commercial Licensed Finance Special with Wachovia Bank, N.A. and three years and Management Assistant and Branch Corporate Account Manager with Enterprise Leasing Company. While at these companies, David was responsible for extensive financial consulting to individual and corporate clientele, growing income by establishing new accounts and maintaining existing accounts and in all managerial facets of daily retail branch operations.
